My name is Grey but you can just call me Retro! I'm an LGBT artist/cartoonist. I mainly draw my own characters and stories, but sometimes I post fandom related art as well!

I love horror, monsters, fantasy, sci-fi, and weird shit! It's my jam 🤍

I technically post more often on Twitter since I don't have to have a pic for every post, but I'd say I'm more active on Instagram as I check it more frequently, so I'd suggest contacting me there if you need to.

I have a lot of interests, and I know I dumped a ton here but there's plenty more and I can't just list every single thing I've ever liked.
TMNT and SU are big ones as they mean a lot to me and I tend to hyperfocus on them often. I like pretty much all versions of Ninja Turtles but I tend to focus on the 2012 show, the 2007 film, and RotTMNT. I also love the Ninja Turtles Coming Out Of Their Shells musical :)
Some other non-fandom related interests would be animals (especially reptiles! 🐍 And yes I like a lot of bugs 🐛🕷), mythology and cryptids, darker aesthetics and horror, creature design, and science 🧪🦠🌌

DNI/Block

  • Racists, homophobes, transphobes, ableist people, etc. etc. (hateful and bigotted people basically)

  • TERFs and other exclusionists

  • "MAPs" (pedo) or supporters of them

  • "Proship" in the sense that you support abusive, pedophilic, or incestuous ships and/or you ship real people

  • "Fujoshi," as in you like "yaoi" and fetishize gay/bi men/mlm in general. Us mlm don't tend to appreciate that shit.

  • (This also goes for men who fetishize lesbians, or people in general who fetishize trans people.)

  • If you are 14/15 I'm slightly iffy about you interacting. If you're 13 or younger I really don't want you on my page, to be perfectly honest. I don't care if you're "mature." You do not need to see my art, as it can get dark, mature, and very possibly NSFW. Please respect this, if not for me, then for yourself and your own well being and safety. I am aware that my art currently may not seem bad, but it can be and will be in the future. Thank you.

Before You Follow

Just a few things you may want to keep in mind if you intend to follow me!

In case you haven't noticed, I've got a bad mouth. If you don't like that, don't follow. That being said, I don't say or tolerate any slurs, unless you count "queer." I myself am queer obviously, and I don't mind it, but that doesn't mean you can hurl it at me as if it were an insult. But I don't exactly care about "haha you're gay" and shit because I mean. Yeah.

I may vent and share experiences in my art that can be triggering! (There are some things I will not portray or share however, of course.) That being said, I'm still a rather private person (surprise surprise, this carrd is not every single little thing about me. You do not need to know every detail about me and my life). Do not think you can just ask me inappropriate and very personal questions.

I would like to make it known as well that I prefer people do not flirt with me or call me pet names (IE: babe, baby, sweetheart/sweetie, hun, love, dear, darling, etc.) You may be just joking around, you may do this with everyone, but please understand and respect that boundary. Thank you.

I will not censor my art unless absolutely necessary. I am not responsible for your triggers. But,
Please please Please let me know if I ever misgender you, make you uncomfortable, do something offensive/distasteful/inappropriate/rude/harmful, cross a boundary, or bring up something triggering in convo. If I've done something wrong I need to make sure I take accountability and responsibility, address it, apologize if necessary/appropriate, fix it if I can, and make sure it doesn't happen again.
Politely let me know as well if my tone seems bad. I have trouble wording things well and being aware of my tone, but I still intend to try, so I want to know if I sound rude so that I don't keep doing that.
Granted, I don't think this will be an issue, but I want to make note of it anyway.

My DMs are open but keep in mind that I'm hesitant to talk to people that I don't know very well! I may not respond quickly, whether it be due to that or that I am simply busy or do not have the energy.

As for triggers, I am not comfortable sharing my actual trigger phrases and such as I am aware some shitty people could use that against me. However I will list some things/topics that I often am uncomfortable with. These things do not trigger me, but I would prefer to stray away from them:

  • Classic Creepypasta, specifically BEN drowned, Jeff the killer, Eyeless Jack, Laughing Jack, and Ticci Toby. I am not afraid of them, I just associate them with some negative experiences.

  • K-pop

  • Rocky Horror Picture Show

  • Alcohol. I put this here because I can admittedly be blunt and possibly rude when it comes to this subject matter. If you want to talk about drinking or joke about it or whatever, I'd suggest someone else.

If you like the fandoms/media listed that's perfectly fine! I have nothing against fans or people behind these media. I simply have negative associations with these things due to personal experiences in my past.

Also, I do like helping people and being there for them. This doesn't mean you can randomly trauma-dump me without permission (I'm not your therapist), but if you need a pal or something I hope I can maybe help you cheer up or feel less alone. I may not always know what to say, but I don't judge!
